POTA DA- 0028 Bayrischer Spessart (Data fail)

i activated POTA DA- 0028 Bayrischer Spessart last thursday Oktober 30 2021. I wanted to test a new build EFHW (End fed half wave) antenna i build out of a kit from Hfkits in the Netherlands. The antenna did quite well and so i made a couble of QSO´s.

I was logging on a small 10″ Notebook with HAMRS logging software. After i came home i had to find out that HAMRS had eaten all my QSO data. No chance to recover the data. I did a little search on the internet and had to find out, that i am not the only person that lost data with HAMRS. So i am thinking about eather logging with a paperlog in the field or choosing a different logging software. Not quite sure what software to use. I am using N1MM logging software in contests and maybe give it a try in the field too.

in the meantime i managed to reconstruct my QSO data out of a file recorded on the SD card in my ICOM IC – 705. Took a while but i am happy. So all my QSO partners will get credit for the QSO´s.
