Activated POTA DA-0028 Bayrischer Spessart during the Hessencontest

During the last weekend the Hessencontest took place. I decided to drive to the Hahnenkamm Mountain near my hometown and participate in the 144 MHz section. Fun fact is that Hahnenkann is located in DA – 0028 Bayrischer Spessart POTA park so this activation also counts for my POTA record.

Patrick, DB2PR a rookie from my local club F09 Hanau joined me to see what contest is all about.

I made 29 QSO with my ICOM IC – 705 with 10 watts and a Konni 4 element Yagi on a 4 meter high mast.
